Rusty Russell is a regional Australian entrepreneur and founder of Double R Equipment. A tradesman by background, Rusty spent six years working internationally across the mining industry in Papua New Guinea, Europe, and South America before returning home in 2005 to establish Double R Equipment Repairs.
From a single service vehicle, the company has grown to provide machinery and truck sales alongside extensive mechanical and engineering services for the mining, transport, construction, and agricultural sectors. Today, Double R employs more than 250 team members across eight locations in New South Wales and Western Australia, generating annual revenue exceeding AUD $100 million.
Rusty lives on 50 acres near the country town of Mudgee with his wife Kate and their three young daughters.
